Grace News -- 04/29/2020
Good Afternoon Grace Family,
Great is the faithfulness of our God. He never changes. His purposes for His glory are also for our good, and He has fresh mercies for every day. Rightly does the psalmist cry out, “Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness!” (Psalm 115:1).
Elder Randy Slak has written another article for your edification and encouragement. I hope you will check it out on the church blog. To make it super easy, just click HERE.
It is mid-week and time again to meet together for Learning and Leaning tonight at 7 pm. Tonight’s lesson focuses on winning the victory over temptation. Join us through Zoom for the meeting. The handout is HERE.
I apologize for what happened Sunday during the live stream. It seems the module that carries sound from the camera to the computer for streaming to the internet gave up the ghost. I am not sure why You Tube was a problem, but we are working on ways to alleviate the problem. Please be in prayer that the stream will work smoothly this Sunday. Last Sunday’s service was recorded and later uploaded; so you can still take it in if you missed it then.
Please note two important news items!
1. We are planning to have another Drive-in Service at Grace Community Church. It will take place Sunday, May 10, which is Mothers Day. GCFs will be on their regular schedule through Zoom; they will start at 9 am. The drive-in service will be at 10:30 in the parking lot. This should allow enough time for GCFs to finish their meetings and get to the church. We will get to be together again!!
2. The National Day of Prayer is Thursday, May 7. GCC has been sponsoring this important event for as long as I can remember and this year will be no exception. Please join together at 6:30 pm on Zoom as we pray together for our nation and many aspects of need for God’s mercy and intervention.
Finally, I should mention that we just scooted right by an important date in history. April 24 marks the 32nd anniversary of Grace Community Church. Looking back we see God’s hand of faithfulness, provision, preserving and guiding us with his very strong and loving hand. To Him be glory! Looking forward, we anticipate great things to continue. A number of you have become aware of the facility of Zion UCC which is for sale. I would encourage much continued prayer for this opportunity. God has been so good to us as a church family, and we need to continue trust Him and seek his glory for the future.
